Mackenzie Johnson: Interventionist
Mackenzie is from Goldsby, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma majoring in Elementary Education. Before moving to Colorado in the summer of 2016, she taught Kindergarten for half a year in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In the Fall of 2016, she joined Tollgate's Crew as a first grade teacher and continued her work as a Kindergarten teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. She loves working at Tollgate because of the teachers and the passion they show for the students. In her free time, she loves listening to all genres of music and attend concerts. She loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
CJ Neubaum: Occupational Therapist
CJ Neubaum was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for her undergraduate degree and graduated from Creighton University with her doctorate in Occupational Therapy. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and going on hikes with her fiance, Connor. She also recently became a dog-mom and adopted her puppy Reese this last summer. CJ is very excited to be joining the Tollgate CREW this year!
Paige Ozegovic: Speech-Language Pathologist
Paige was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois. She attended Elmhurst College, where she played volleyball, earned her Bachelor of Art in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), and later attended Governors State University where she earned a Master of Health Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Paige began working as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, Illinois at District 54 Early Learning Center and continued in Nashville, Tennessee, at Walnut Grove Elementary School. She currently lives in Westminster, Colorado with her husband, Stojan, and two kittens, Pička and Winston. Paige loves being a part of the incredible CREW of educators and administrators at Tollgate Elementary School and Fletcher Community School in Aurora Public Schools. Outside of school, Paige loves to cook, spend time with her family and friends, and immerse herself in Nature. She especially enjoys hiking, camping, and rock climbing.
Nicole Johnson: Social Worker
Nicole is a born and raised Colorado Native. She attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins for her Bachelor's Degree in Social work. She attended the University of Denver for her Master's Degree in Social Work. Nicole has been a school social worker for Aurora Publics schools for the past five years. She has been at Tollgate all five of those years while also spending time on the district's Behavior, Evaluation and Support Team. Nicole loves helping students at Tollgate as well as working alongside our incredibly talented and dedicated staff. Outside of school, Nicole loves to root on the BRONCOS and spend time with her family, including her husband and two cats, Champ Bailey and Von Meower.
Tiarra Pailin: Social Worker
Tiarra was born in raised in a very, tiny town in West Tennessee. She attended and received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, TN. She received her Masters of Social Work at Union University in Jackson, TN. In the fall of 2015, Tiarra married her hubby, Gregory. The following May, right after finishing graduate school, she moved to Colorado with her husband and their then, 3 dogs. She now has 4 Shih Tzus total; Matt, Ryan, Leona, and Kovu. Tiarra has done work in child protective services, mental health services, the homeless population, as well as a hospital setting. Her passion has always been working with children and families, especially in the mental health realm. This is her second year being a school social worker and first year at Tollgate. In her free time, she loves being with her husband and pups, extended family and friends, anything Harry Potter, reading, and crafting.
Caitlin Saar: Aurora Mental Health Provider
Caitlin was born and raised in Colorado until she was about 6 years old when she moved to Virginia with her mom. She grew up in Northern Virginia attending Prince William County Public Schools and graduated from Christopher Newport University (CNU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in communications in 2013. While at CNU she was deeply involved with her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha and interned with the counseling department her senior year. After graduating from Christopher Newport University, Caitlin worked at Antietam Elementary as a teacher's assistant in one of their lower elementary special education classrooms for the 2013-2014 school year. As much as she liked Virginia, Caitlin was drawn to Colorado and moved back in 2014. She worked as a Group Living Counselor at Excelsior Youth Center and later a Paraprofessional at Metro Children's Center. In May 2019, Caitlin graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Masters in Social Work. In her free time, Caitlin loves spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs. She enjoys traveling, hiking, tubing, paddle boarding, and just being outdoors.
Dr. Philip W Keesee ND, MSAc, BSN, RN: District Nurse
Philip graduated from Florida International University, Miami, FL with a Baccalaureate in Nursing in 1985. In 1993 Philip received a Masters of Science in Acupuncture, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, Seattle, WA. He worked in a variety of hospital nursing positions in Miami, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, and Colorado for 26 years including Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Interventional Cardiology, and Pre and Post-op Surgery. Philip started working for Aurora Public Schools as a site-based school nurse at East Middle School in 2006 to 2011. He began working as an itinerant school nurse in 2011 to present working with Sixth Avenue, Lyn Knoll, Peoria, Virginia Court, and Tollgate Elementary Schools.
