Kim Goetz: Cross-Categorical Teacher
Kim is originally from Oregon, where she graduated from the University of Oregon with a B. S. in Psychology. She earned a Special Education license from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Masters degree in Reading: Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Kim has taught special education for 18 years.
Outside of work, Kim loves spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She enjoys painting, gardening, bowling, traveling, and playing golf.
Stefanie Pahler: Special Education/Interventionist
Stefanie was born and raised in Colorado. She attended University of Denver for a Bachelors of Fine Arts and University of Colorado at Denver for a Master degree in Special Education. She currently has a special education license and elementary teaching license. She is starting her ninth year teaching in Aurora Public Schools as a special education teacher. She is a first generation college graduate and values the right for an education for all. Stefanie believes in the hands-on teaching that Tollgate provides with expeditionary and social-emotional learning to help all students to take ownership of their learning. Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys cooking, traveling, and painting. It is exciting to be a part of a crew that believes in teaching beyond the normal classroom to excel students’ knowledge and skills.
Courtney Johnson: Speech - Special Education
Courtney is a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Autism Program here at Tollgate Elementary. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her Master’s in Communication Disorders in August, 2019. She is originally from Oregon, but grew up in Southern California. She moved to Denver four years ago with her husband. In her free time, Courtney enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
CJ Neubaum: Occupational Therapist
CJ Neubaum was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for her undergraduate degree and graduated from Creighton University with her doctorate in Occupational Therapy. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and going on hikes with her fiance, Connor. She also recently became a dog-mom and adopted her puppy Reese this last summer. CJ is very excited to be joining the Tollgate CREW this year!
Paige Ozegovic: Speech-Language Pathologist
Paige was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois. She attended Elmhurst College, where she played volleyball, earned her Bachelor of Art in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), and later attended Governors State University where she earned a Master of Health Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Paige began working as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, Illinois at District 54 Early Learning Center and continued in Nashville, Tennessee, at Walnut Grove Elementary School. She currently lives in Westminster, Colorado with her husband, Stojan, and two kittens, Pička and Winston. Paige loves being a part of the incredible CREW of educators and administrators at Tollgate Elementary School and Fletcher Community School in Aurora Public Schools. Outside of school, Paige loves to cook, spend time with her family and friends, and immerse herself in Nature. She especially enjoys hiking, camping, and rock climbing.
Caitlin Saar: Aurora Mental Health Provider
Caitlin was born and raised in Colorado until she was about 6 years old when she moved to Virginia with her mom. She grew up in Northern Virginia attending Prince William County Public Schools and graduated from Christopher Newport University (CNU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in communications in 2013. While at CNU she was deeply involved with her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha and interned with the counseling department her senior year. After graduating from Christopher Newport University, Caitlin worked at Antietam Elementary as a teacher's assistant in one of their lower elementary special education classrooms for the 2013-2014 school year. As much as she liked Virginia, Caitlin was drawn to Colorado and moved back in 2014. She worked as a Group Living Counselor at Excelsior Youth Center and later a Paraprofessional at Metro Children's Center. In May 2019, Caitlin graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Masters in Social Work. In her free time, Caitlin loves spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs. She enjoys traveling, hiking, tubing, paddle boarding, and just being outdoors.
