Marci Elder

Marci was born in southern California, but relocated to Colorado before starting high school. She left the state for a few years to attend the University of Tulsa for her undergraduate studies in chemistry. She and her husband, Brandon, lived in Texas for a few years, where she attended the University of North Texas, earning a Master’s in Secondary Education. They then moved back to Colorado to be closer to family and have been here ever since. Marci loves to learn and therefore continued her education, earning a Master’s in Special Education and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Northern Colorado. After teaching for 14 years, she moved into leadership positions, including serving as Dean of Students, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Educational Operations in different schools. Most of her leadership experience has been in an Expeditionary Learning school.

Marci enjoys spending time with her family, as well as being active outdoors. She also loves to travel, particularly to her favorite destination of Nepal. She is very excited to be joining the Tollgate Crew, and looks forward to developing relationships with the community of students, parents and teachers.


Araseli Garcia, Assistant Principal

Araseli was born in Los Angeles, California, and lived in Denver but spent the majority of her childhood in El Paso, Texas. Araseli and her family moved to beautiful Colorado after living in Illinois for 9 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Argosy University, a Masters in Education from Rockford University, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Regis University. This is her 16th year as an educator. She has served in various roles in both PreK-5 and K-8 settings as a Dual Language teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and interim principal. Araseli loves spending time with her husband Ricardo and children, Valerie, Maya, and Diego. The family enjoys doing outdoor activities as much as possible or hanging out at home cooking and watching movies. She is excited about the opportunity to be serving the Tollgate community!


Kelsey Dittloff
Administrator of Student Support

Kelsey grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her degree in Early Childhood Education and English as a Second Language. Though she absolutely loves Wisconsin, she moved to Colorado after graduating to teach at Tollgate Elementary. This will be her fourth year teaching at Tollgate! There are so many things Kelsey loves about Tollgate, but she especially loves that it is truly a community! Teachers and students get to learn together in exciting ways, while still taking time to value their relationships with one another. In her free time, Kelsey loves to spend as much time outside as she can by hiking, exploring a new parts of town, or just being with friends!
