Dina Horner: 4th Grade
Dina was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. She attended Metropolitan Sate University and received her Masters from the University of Colorado Denver. Dina has been teaching for nine years, five of which have been here at Tollgate Elementary. Being a teacher at Tollgate, Dina enjoys teaching her students to love learning. She pushes her students to be life-long learners and to become powerful critical thinkers. She loves encouraging students to be positive change makers in their world. Outside of school, you can find Dina cooking, reading, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, and skiing!
Susie Park: 4th Grade
Susie is a Denver, Colorado native. She graduated with a B.A. from University of Colorado Boulder and graduated with a Masters from University of Colorado Denver. Susie has been teaching at Tollgate for ten years. She enjoys inspiring students to find joy in learning, specifically in math. Students showing growth in being able to think critically and deeply when solving problems in order to make the world a better place is what keeps her teaching. Beyond the school walls, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters (ages 6 and 3), reading mystery novels, and trying to be active.
Amanda Thomas: 4th Grade
Amanda is a Colorado native. She attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California where she got her BA in Elementary Education. She spent 2 years teaching in Santa Barbara after receiving her college degree. Having just moved back to Colorado, Amanda is so excited to be joining the Tollgate Staff. She loves fostering student collaboration and encouraging students to take risks. When she isn't teaching, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, traveling around the country, and playing cards with friends.
Megan Radke: 4th Grade
Megan has been teaching in Colorado for two years, and has loved every minute of it. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin for Education and science. She is a HUGE Badgers and Packers fan! She is incredibly passionate about teaching and cannot wait to continue my teaching career at Tollgate. In her free time she can often be found reading, camping, hiking, skiing, or traveling. She enjoys getting out into the mountains at every opportunity.
Olivia Fiergola: 5th Grade
Olivia is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but has lived in Colorado since 2015. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with her bachelor's and master's degrees in Elementary Education. Olivia began her teaching career in 2015 as a fifth grade teacher here at Tollgate. She loves working at Tollgate because she enjoys working with both students and teachers to engage in authentic learning experiences that push all participants to be their best selves, both academically and personally. Olivia spends her free time enjoying the outdoors (doing activities like hiking, camping, canoeing or skiing!) with her friends and dog, or getting lost in a great book.
Bridget Reichelderfer: 5th Grade
Bridget was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She attended Colby College in Maine where she majored in biology. After exploring the Midwest and the East Coast, Bridget decided it was time to move west. She received her Masters in Teaching from Adams State University through the Boettcher Teacher Residency program. Bridget has been at Tollgate for that last three years and loves to make learning relevant for her students. When she is not teaching, Bridget enjoys backpacking, climbing, reading and drinking coffee.
Kayla Shea-Lewis: 5th Grade
Kayla is from Denver, Colorado. She graduated from CU Denver and started her career at Tollgate 8 years ago! She loves the Tollgate Crew and students. Kayla loves that teachers and students are excited to learn and grow together! In her free time, you can find Kayla spending time with her family, reading, and making art!
Brian Workman: 5th Grade
Brian is from Lawrence, Kansas and attended school at the University of Kansas, studying Psychology and African Art. He received his Master’s degree from Fort Hays State University in Educational Leadership and is currently working on his doctorate at the University of Colorado-Denver. Before teaching at Tollgate, he taught in Kansas City, KS and in Cairo, Egypt. In his spare time he loves listening to music, traveling, hiking, and playing basketball.
