Adventure Week–Thursday and Thursday night

Adventure Week is keeping the Crew active this week.  Our Kindergarten students walked to the Aurora Library, and registered to get their very first library card.  Our 5th graders also took a hike from Tollgate, all the way to Delaney Farms to visit the oldest home in Aurora, a school house from the 1800's, and a barn that is 150 years old.  On their hike back, they encountered a 5 feet long snake!   The 2nd grade Crew continued their Olympic Games, while the 1st graders learned how to fish.  4th graders tested their stamina through a boot camp station, were challenge by a series a team challenges, and then cooled off with some water games.

Thursday evening was even more exciting for the 1st graders!   73 first grade students came through the doors of the Tollgate commons super excited to experience an Overnight Adventure with their crews! After making dirt cake and checking in, students worked together to set up their tents and create a "campfire". Then students got to experience the 5th grade commons for our final campfire where we sang songs and then got ready for bed.
